The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville is much more rounded, supple, and sexy compared to the Coombsville with its spicy, blackcurrants, Christmas fruitcake, dusty minerality, and violet aromas and flavors. Rich, rounded, supple, and beautifully polished, it's a layered, sexy wine, especially in the vintage.

A very polished style, with creamy cassis and plum puree flavors forming the core. Sassafras, bay leaf and loam notes stay in the background. Ends with a well-integrated gravel-tinged finish. Best from 2021 through 2036. 147 cases made.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville is ample, deep and super-expressive. Dark red cherry, cedar, iron, plum, espresso, licorice, white pepper, smoke and sage add to an impression of power and gravitas. Readers will have to be patient with the 2017, but there is a lot to look forward to.
