Cooper Mountain Pinot Noir 2017
|Region||United States, Oregon, Willamette Valley|
This estate-grown, biodynamic wine brings extra nuances that add considerable flavor interest. It's striated with streaks of flower and earth, while the palate opens into black fruits and coffee grounds. It is all well integrated and proportionate, with good texture and impressive length.
Bright ruby-red. Smoke-accented cherry and blackberry aromas are complemented by floral, licorice and mocha notes. Supple and concentrated on the palate, offering dark berry, cherry compote and rose pastille flavors supported by a core of juicy acidity. Rich yet energetic in style, finishing with very good clarity, repeating florality and subtly chewy tannins.
Precise, if a bit tight right now, with dark cherry and black tea flavors that take on tension toward a firm nip of tannins. Best after 2020. 4,000 cases made.
