Solid, with a core of lightly mulled black currant and black cherry fruit, layered with tobacco and singed vanilla notes. Not big, but focused and balanced. Drink now.

Bright cherry red. 18 months in oak (12% new). On the nose, lots of baked fruit, cherry pastry and some mint, but the oak is heavy. In the mouth, it's more elegant, featuring ripe black cherry, muted pepper and some attractive graphite and tar on the finish.

Oaky notes of coconut and vanilla start out on the nose and carry to the medium-bodied palate. There are delicious, crunchy cranberries and cherries hiding beneath, but ultimately the wood tones overpower come the finish.
