Whitehall Lane Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
|Region||California, Napa Valley|
This beautifully blended 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is exquisitely balanced with excellent fruit concentration. On the nose, this wine offers black cherries, red raspberries, blueberry compote, graphite, toasted brioche, and a touch of licorice. The palate offers plush but concentrated tannins, mixed berry jam, dried black cherries, chocolate, vanilla, toasted hazelnuts, and cedar with a finish that softens and lingers. This offering is enjoyable today but will also evolve with cellar aging through 2028.
Beringer Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016This Cabernet is built each vintage on the notion of a Bordeaux blend, with soft and silky tannins crafted for immediate enjoyment. Aromas of lavender and clove join flavors of dark red fruit led by boysenberry, huckleberry, raspberry, black cherry and evident oak spice are joined with more traditional Knights Valley tones of black and blue fruits. Fine acidity and elegant structure lead to a touch of licorice and mocha, rounding out a lingering, pleasant finish.
Kendall Jackson Grand Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2016This Cabernet has distinct flavors of blackberry, blueberry, red and black currants with enticing fragrances of mocha and nutmeg. Subtle notes of slate, cedar and tobacco leaf round out the fine grained tannins on the finish.
Buehler Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016The wine is brimming with fruit aromas and flavors biased to the black fruit end of the Cabernet spectrum: plums, blackberry, and black currant. Rich and full-bodied on the palate, this Cabernet drinks well on release but will soften and develop with additional age. For those who seek youthful fresh Cabernet fruit aromas and a more structured wine, drink it from 2018 through 2022. If you prefer the less fruity, more developed bottle bouquet aromas and a softer, more velvety wine on the palate, drink it from 2023-2033.
Grgich Hills Cabernet Sauvignon 2015Our Napa Valley Cabernet entices the senses with layers of complex flavors that continue to evolve in the glass and on the palate. Aromas of black currants, violets, and plums dance in the glass, creating a new experience with every taste. The wine is artfully crafted, well-balanced and lingers on the palate with a silky mouthfeel leaving you craving for more. It pairs perfectly with barbecued ribs, a rack of lamb or ratatouille.
