The 2018 vintage in the interior of the Aconcagua Valley will be remembered by its idyllic climate with an overall heat summation that was only 1% higher than average. The moderate temperatures allowed for a very balanced ripening and harvesting. Santa Carolina Reserva de Familia Carmenere 2016Appearance: This Carmenere has a deep purple with red hues colour. Aroma: Its aromas are red and black fruit, coupled with a spicy character and a hint of soya sauce. Mouth Feel: On the palate it's full-bodied, alluring balance between fruit and oak. Intense with velvety tannins, it is a complex wine with lingering finish. Food Pairing: Indian lamb curry, rack of lamb with rosemary and garlic.
Alvaro Palacios Les Terrasses 2016The wine comes from mostly estate vineyards with some purchased fruit from select lots of old vine Garnacha. Starting in 2011 the blend has changed to only indigenous varietals - Garnacha and Samso.
