A to Z Wineworks Pinot Noir 2014Clear and vibrant, the 2014 A to Z Oregon Pinot Noir opens with rich primary aromas of strawberries, cherries, blueberries, raspberries, even cranberries, developing to violets, red currants, pipe tobacco, iron and wet stone. The attack is beautifully balanced between richness and brightness with hints of roses, honeysuckle, red and blue fruit flavors. The mid-palate reveals ripe tannins and crisp acidity with a touch of minerality and spice (cinnamon, anise, saffron, sandalwood) lending greater complexity. This wine, succulent with great concentration, finishes long and rich with classic Oregon freshness. Willamette Valley Vineyards Estate Pinot Noir 2014This wine exemplifies the "Oregon style." Classic aromas of fresh red raspberry and cherry, candied walnut and orange spice create an elegant nose. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied with flavors of red fruit, earth, game, almond and an accent of sweet barrel spice. Fermented entirely in small 1.5 ton lots and plunged by hand, Argyle Pinot Noir is blended for purity. The nose leans towards dark cherry, red raspberry and spicy earth, while the middle palate is lush and graceful. On the back end, the wine builds density and focus as the silky yet, subtly firm tannins build into the long, energetic finish.

Haden Fig Pinot Noir 2014This year's Willamette Valley blend is comprised of 50% Cancilla Vineyard, 25% Croft Vineyard and 25% Bjornson Vineyard. Though 2014 was a warm growing season, the WV bottling is showing tremendous restraint and complexity. Dark fruit is mixed with bright cherry and raspberry, sweet damp forest and juicy acidity.

Ken Wright Shea Vineyard Pinot Noir 2013The wine from this vineyard has a complex array of aromas and flavors including black and red fruits, particularly blueberry, spice and earth. This site is in the Yamhill-Carlton District just west of the Chehalem Valley. Our fruit is sourced from three small blocks, two of which are planted to the Pommard clone, with the third to Wadenswil. Soils are primarily of the Goodin and Melbourne type which are sedimentary in origin. The three blocks range in elevation from 450 to 600 feet and were originally planted in 1989. Trellis style is vertical shoot positioning.
