The Mâconnais runs from Tournus in Macon for about fifty kilometers from north to south, bordered by the river Saône. The vineyards lie on the rocks of Solutré and Vergisson with an altitude of 400 meters. These plots all face North West and have a clayey sandy soil. An elegant terroir to produce dense and concentrate Chardonnay.
Straw yellow with green reflections. Fine, penetrating aroma with fragrances of acacia and hawthorne, green apple and pear. Fresh, balanced, and full on the palate, with a deliciously bitter note.
Ruby red wine with brilliant shades of scarlet, intense and lingering, and characterized by a great delicacy. This wine is obtained by delicate grape processing and long maceration of the skin, which has a pleasing body mouth-feel. It is thick, enveloping and deep. Notes of morello cherry, licorice, and berries elegantly characterize the wine, suitable for different dishes from seafood to red meat.
Deep cherry red colour. Its aroma reminds of red fruits, spices, with some balsamic notes and a toasted background. In the mouth it is fresh, well-structured and balanced. Its tannins are present but well integrated. This is a wine with a great personality and a long after-taste.
